Southampton Association Offers Four Scholarships to Southampton High School Students

The Southampton Association is offering 4 scholarships in 2019 to Southampton High School students to assist with their college expenses. The Association’s Scholarship Committee will again choose two students to receive the Southampton Association Scholarship in Memory of Arthur B. Schoen, Jr. and Todd Goodwin which provides $4,000.00 per year to each for their four years of college.  Students should check with the Southampton High School Guidance Office on details.

For the second year, two students will receive the Community Service Award for outstanding contributions and services to local volunteer organizations.  The winners will be chosen by the School’s scholarship committee.  These are one time gifts of $1,000.00 per student.

The Association’s scholarship program has a long history of support to local students and has granted over 45 scholarships to graduates of Southampton High School.  In 2001 the group assisted 138 graduating seniors by funding a $21,000 shortfall in one of the high school scholarships. It is one of the largest single local scholarship and has had an increasing impact in recent years with increasing college costs.

Donations specifically for the Association’s Scholarship Fund may be sent to to The Southampton Association, P. O. Box 641, Southampton NY 11969.
