School Vote Results and Village Election on June 15

The Southampton School Budget and Board Vote was on May 15,    All propositions passed except Proposition 3:  a $5.2 million proposal to purchase a Village home and convert it into administration offices.   That vote was:  Yes 397  No 894.  There was a substantial number of Absentee Ballots for those who were unable to be in Southampton on the 15th.  The new budget is now $70,436,192.    75% + of your Southampton Property Taxes are allocated to the school. 

The Village Election is on June 15th,  9 AM – 9 PM at The Levitas Center (Cultural Center), Pond Lane.

Openings:   2 Trustee seats – 2 year terms; 1 Justice – 4 year term

To receive an Absentee Ballot Application:  write to southamptonassociation@gmail.com or call Southampton Village’s Administrator, 631-283-0247, or go to southamptonvillage.org.  Under Departments go to Village Clerk and an absentee ballot Application can be downloaded.  Signed and scanned absentee ballot applications can be emailed to the Village. You will then be mailed an actual Ballot to cast your vote.
